Terms
Last updated 3 November 2026
These are the terms for using HeadCheck. By forwarding an email to us, you agree to them.
What HeadCheck is
HeadCheck gives you a second opinion on an email you received: how likely it is to be dangerous, suspicious, unclear, junk or fine, and why. It’s a guide, not a guarantee. It can be wrong, and it says so when it isn’t sure. Use it alongside your own judgment, and when money, a password or your safety is at stake, check with the sender in a way you already trust.
Using it
- Forward only email that was sent to you, or that you’re allowed to share with us.
- We reply only to the address that forwarded the email.
- Don’t use HeadCheck to send mail to other people, to flood it, or to try to break it. We may stop replying to an address or a domain that does.
- During the private pilot, HeadCheck is open only to the people and organizations we’ve invited, with a daily limit for each address.
Checks and payments
Checks aren’t on sale yet. Before buying opens, we’ll set out the payment terms here, including how top-ups and refunds work. What we’ve already promised: unused checks never expire, and every check comes with the full report.
Your privacy
How we handle the emails you forward is set out on the privacy page.
Our responsibility
We work hard to make every report right, but we provide HeadCheck as it is, without promises that it will catch every scam or never flag a genuine email. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that come from relying on a report.
Changes and questions
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions are welcome at hello@headcheck.email.
